Nice place right on the beach, and the river. They also have a restaurant and bar for your enjoyment They have a great website if you need more information, also try and check out their pool tables situated around the bar. Their Accommodation offers Bunk Beds @ about R150pp, Safari tents which are closed off using shade-cloths and banana trees. They are priced around R.280 pp. Note also you can find Double rooms for 1 to 3 people for around R600, but the room sleeps 6. But note it has a communal shower and toilet.
Sugarload Backpackers also has en-suite rooms which we stayed in, one called the Giant hut which has its own shower, basin, and toilet. They take bookings, walk-ins are welcome, good for groups and children are welcome.
As far as their accommodation there are private ensuites, 10 sleeper rooms, 10 double rooms, and even 15 camp sites. There are also TVs with DSTV.

Coffee Shack Backpackers & Surf School
They have been operating for over 17 years now, Dave and Belinda run a really good accommodation facility in the heart of Coffe Bay. They Offer surf lessons across various wild coast surf spots. Dont forget to try their hikes to the hole in the wall, which is non technical, and includes lunch. You can also get some culture and do their "Village Walk", which includes a traditional cooked meal and locals beers.
Options for accommodation are plentiful from Double Ensuite rooms that will suite 2 people, going for R600 (about $60), they have Kings House which can accommodate 4 to 8 people that goes from R900. They also have DORM rooms from R150 ($15 per night)

This is located 100m away from an awesome surfing beach. It also has stunning views within walking distance, and the Mthata river is very close by. They have many facilities like Satellite TV, Parking, Barbecue area, and importantly an are to do Laundry.
They offer two nice self-catering cottages which have double beds and sleeper couches. The cost is from R750
Coffee Bay Caravan Park:
This is a well known camping spot in Coffee Bay, lush trees, and it feels like you are in a jungle. You are camping in a remote area with the ocean wjile looking out of your tent. There are 52 stands with hot water near by. The stands can accommodate caravans, and groups are welcome. With the cost at about R80 per person.
